The peer-reviewed academic journal "Bulletin of the State University of Education. Series: History and Political Sciences” is a printed issue that publishes articles by Russian and foreign researchers on historiography, source studies, history of Russia, general history, and political science.

The Journal is included in the List compiled by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of dissertations for obtaining the scientific degree of the Candidate of Sciences or Doctor of Science are to be published:

• 5.6.1. – Domestic history (historical sciences);
• 5.6.2. – Global history (of the corresponding period) (historical sciences);
• 5.6.5. – Historiography, source-study and methods of historical research (historical sciences);
• 5.5.4. – International relations (historical sciences).

The journal is addressed to Russian and foreign historians and political scientists, doctoral students, postgraduates and anyone interested in the achievements of historical and political science. The journal is registered with the Federal Service for the Supervision of Communications, Information Technology and Mass Media (Roskomnadzor). Registration certificate PI No. FS77-73347.

All articles are available on the Internet to all users immediately after publication, without an embargo period.

Articles are published in open access in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative, according to which the reader is allowed to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or refer to the full texts of articles in the Journal, as well as use them for any other legitimate purposes, without the prior permission of the Journal or the author.

The published materials are available under the CC-BY license, which allows unlimited use of the works, provided that the authorship is indicated.
