Abstract
The article considers the source aspects of the police office-work in Russia at the turn of the XIX-XX centuries. Basing on the archive documents, first put into the scientific circulation, the author analysed the table registries of Kolomna county district police office for the period of 1891-1894s and 1906. The cases available in the registries are classified and grouped according to the specifics of their contents and time of entering into the registery. The conclusion is made about table registries being highly informative. The perspectives of their use in studying of the general police functioning are stated, both in the period of political stability of late 19th century and at the time of revolutionary shocks of 1905-1907s.

Abstract
The article examines in detail the role and place of the cooperative structure in the socio-economic structure of Russia on the eve of the October Revolution. In addition, the author characterizes and debunks the stereotype of the identity of the completely different historical phenomena existing in the sources on cooperative problems: cooperatives as forms of socialization of small-scale producers' economies, and cooperation as a social movement. The author comes to the conclusion that such identity is illegitimate.

Abstract
The article analyzes the main trends of the contemporary historiography of the Soviet period of 1953-1964s, which is traditionally called as «Khrushchev’s epoch». The study is performed on the basis of the six academic monographs, published or translated into Russian in 2000-2016s, respectively three books belong to the Russian historiography and the same quantity to the foreign research works about that period. The author also has taken the liberty to give an assessment of the availability of primary sources, without which it is obviously impossible to continue the research.

Abstract
This article deals with the colonial issue role in Anglo-German relations in 1933-1937. In their ideological attitudes of 1920s and speeches of the early years after coming to power, the Nazis emphasized the possibility of giving up colonies for the sake of rapprochement with the United Kingdom, whereas approximately after 1935 they changed their tactics and began to assert colonial claims. The article proves that their colonial claims of 1935-1937 were simply to put pressure on the United Kingdom and not to regain any real colonies.

Abstract
The article describes and analyzes the experience of the executive management of the largest district in Moscow gubernia Zemstvo from the beginning of its appearance in 1865 up to 1893, the period in the Moscow Zemstvo associated with the name of Dmitry A. Naumov, the first Chairman of the provincial Council, who held the post for nearly 30 years. Important role in the management of various institutions played personnel policy. The author of the article considers D. A. Naumov carried out that policy wisely and effectively, which affected the results of the Moscow Zemstvo’s activities. The author also mentioned about the drawbacks in the managing these new local authorities for that time.

Abstract
The article is devoted to a poorly studied subject in the domestic and foreign historiography - the investigation of the Russian-French relations during the War of the Austrian Succession. This problem is considered by the author in respect to the analysis of the foreign policy strategy of the St. Petersburg and Versailles diplomacy, as well as in respect to the problem of including Russia into the "great powers" structure. The policy of "east barrier" pursued by France is analyzed. The author comes to the conclusion that the aspiration of Russia to be a part of "great powers" wasn't supported by France and its attempts of rapprochement with Russia were dictated by especially pragmatical purposes coming from military-political requirements of the moment.

Abstract
The article attempts to take a fresh look at the events and the political situation in 1905 in one of the provinces of Russia. The author traces the line of the revolutionary movement - urban, peasant, and sailor-soldiers - and comes to the conclusion that they were not so closely interconnected as it was depicted in Soviet historiography. The author on the basis of the sources shows that the political parties and, especially, the Bolsheviks were not at the head of the revolutionary movement, but sharpened it with verbal campaigning and printed word. The revolution had spontaneous and rebellious nature, which was determined by the low level of public consciousness.

Abstract
The study of economical activities of different social groups in the years of the new economical policy (the NEP) is of great scientific importance because of the necessity to reconsider the results of the economic reforms in modern Russia. That’s why it’s urgent to study locally particular parts of the social group of entrepreneurs (i.e. members of local mutual loan associations) in the years of the NEP. The aim of the article is to analyze Samara local mutual loan association in the years of the NEP. The subject of the study is the processes of the social structure, as well as the changes which were taking place under the state policy influence. The object of the study is the activity of Samara local mutual loan association, as an organization meeting the entrepreneurs’ needs in loans. Among our aims ther is also studying of the reasons of the local mutual loan association creation (as they were understood by the government and the entrepreneurs). State policy which influenced the association’s clientele is also among the aims of the research. Besides, dynamics of changes in the number of the association members according to their social groups is studied.

Abstract
The article discusses the US foreign policy course aimed at achieving the dominant role in the world, as well as the historical aspect of implementing this strategy by means of the elements of "expansion" or "export of democracy" and external intervention technologies of the overthrowing political regimes. The authors show that the requirement for the US’ world leadership is explained both from the standpoint of ideology and the maintenance of national and global security. Moreover, the idea of the US global domination is connected with the formation of a stable world order. The historical context of development of the US foreign policy and the international conditions of the XXth century, when Washington could become a world leader, caused the working-out of the comprehensive strategies aimed at weakening the USA’s geopolitical opponents.

Abstract
The article deals with the role of mass media in the political system of the modern society.The author believes that mass media becomes not only an informational mediator between the state and society but a political tool. On the materials of mass media functioning in Kyrgyzstan the conclusion about the politics becomes mediated and the mass media is politicized. The author makes conclusions about the importance of mass media in the political process in Kyrgyzstan, in ensuring the transformation of public consciousness, in building a civil and democratic society.

Abstract
The article considers the problems of formation of social assistance institutions in Russia. The historical-theoretical analysis of them is carried out. The peculiarities of public and private institutions of social assistance in different periods of the Russian history are singled out, their comparison is made. On the basis of the conducted analysis the author concludes that the social assistance is institutionalized as a system of social welfare of the people in need.

Abstract
The article is devoted to revealing the features of party approaches to the issues of foreign policy in the State Duma of contemporary Russia. The research is based on verbatim reports of the State Duma’s assemblies in the period of 2000-2017. The author uses historical (problem-chronological) and comparative methods. The author concludes that the parties express their opinion and vote in conformity with their program declarations. Almost all the foreign policy agreements were ratified by the majority. The parties have the stable consensus on the foreign policy issues. There are no changes of the voting patterns in the period of 2000-2017.

Abstract
The article deals with the problem of threats to Russia's national security in the North Caucasus. They are connected with the growing politicization of ethno-confessional identity. The analysis of the ethnopolitical situation in this region shows that there is still instability caused by discontent with power and separatist sentiments among a certain part of the population. The study of the ethnic, confessional and civil self-awareness of the inhabitants of the North Caucasus results in the conclusion that the level of politicization of ethnicity is high. Besides, the general civil identity is weakened, while the ethnic-confessional identity is strengthened. It is concluded that the spread of Islamic fundamentalism as a threat to Russia's national security.
