SOVIET PEOPLE’S FEAT IN THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR AS THE HIGHEST MANIFESTATION OF PATRIOTIZM AND FAITHFULNESS TO MOTHERLAND

Abstract

In article the major conditions and factors which predetermined the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War are defined. The attention is focused on the patriotism of the country leaders, soldiers of army and fleet, and the citizens of the country who rallied on repulse of the Nazi Germany’s armed aggression. The author analyses the key stages of the Great Patriotic War, the liberation of the territory of the USSR and the countries of Eastern and Central Europe. The article defines the exclusiveness of the all-Russian patriotism phenomenon as the most important factor of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, and the formation of the USSR as the leading state in the world community during the post-war period.
