Cooperation between Germany and India in science, education and culture in the 21st century

Abstract

Scientifi c cooperation and cultural
exchange between Germany and India are traced
back to the middle of the 20th century, however the
beginning of the 21st century became the signifi cant
period in forming a new approach to German -
Indian cooperation in science, education and culture.
These having come into force documents ("Agenda
of German-Indian cooperation in the 21st century",
2000; "Green Card for IT-specialists", 2000 - 2004;
"Initiative Aussenwissenschaftspolitik", 2009) show
us the interest both of Germany, and India not only
in developing of political, trade-economic, military
relations, but also in science, education and culture
at the beginning of the 21st century.
