THE SHIITE DOCTRINE OF THE SUPREME POWER
Abstract
The article deals with some aspects of political
culture formation in Iran.The article considers the main
stages of the origin and development of the Shiite doctrine,
and its significance for the Iranian society. The author tries
to elucidate the process of evolution of Shiite doctrine influenced
historical fortunes of the Iran society. The author gives
his personal point of view and makes an attempt to clear up
rather the real influence of the Shiite doctrine than its ideological
importance. This approach allows to comprehend not
only the role and the types of the main trends in Shiism, but
also the norms of the historical period, which gave them their
status. The article assesses the functional role of political and
religious values in the Iranian society. The analysis confirms
that the conservation of the traditional political heritage is one
of the main steps towards the solution of the problem of Irans
national identity
