ARCHIVE MATERIALS AS THE SOURCES FOR STUDYING THE ACTIVITIES OF SMOLENSK REGIONAL PUBLIC-POLITICAL YOUTH ORGANIZATIONS (LATE 90s OF THE XX CENTURY -THE FIRST DECADE OF THE XXI CENTURY)
Abstract
The present article, introducing for the first time into scientific circulation the relevant archive materials, considers the history of foundation of the Smolensk section of the All-Russia public-political youth organization "Young Guard of United Russia (YGUR)". Exemplified by Smolensk region the role of archives in the description and analysis of the activities of the contemporary youth movement is demonstrated, in particular, those which support the government’s course and actively participate in the life of the region. The article uses the documents of legal character, annual plans of the organization work, passports of regional youth programs and other materials.
