THE PERSONALITY OF B. YELTSIN, THE FIRST PRESIDENTOF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION, IN CREATING AND FORMINGTHE RUSSIAN-AMERICAN RELATIONS

Abstract
This article examines the role of B. Yeltsin's personality in building up Russian-American relations, as well as in formulating the rules and conceptual bases for interaction. The appropriateness of methods for conducting the interaction is also mentioned. The author devoted considerable attention to studying the memories of B. Yeltsin's closest associates. The article clarifies the specifics of the actions of the first president of the Russian Federation and its foreign policy guidelines. The article proves that Boris Yeltsin paid considerable attention to the interests of the United States and often neglected the interests of Russia.
