The Soviet nationality policies and its influence on understanding the phenomena «nation» and «nationalism»
Abstract
This article focuses on the Soviet nationality policies and its influence on the development of phenomena "nation" and "nationalism". These notions give rise to debates and discussions in the scientific society. In the soviet period there were inconsistent national political methods, and nationalism was understood in negative way, and nation is the supreme stage of the ethnos with appropriate inalienable signs.
