The phenomenon of an early audio record in the history of Russia early in the XX-th century

Abstract

The phenomenon of an early sound
recording in the context of the general history
of the beginning of the XX-th century has not
been studied yet. The role of an early sound recording,
created a wide thematic spectrum of
soundtracks - from samples of high art before
records of politicians and educational audiogrants
- in change of the life of a society is
rather considerable. It is some kind of the mirror
which has reflected the life and the interests
of people out of political priorities, is an
invaluable source in aspect of history of daily
occurrence. It is impossible to overestimate
and cultural-historical value of an early audio
record to what the set of historical names in
various spheres of art testifies. At last, the
early audioindustry and audioproduction market
have created a primary information field
and have begun an information society. In the
creation of this historical phenomenon the decisive
role belongs to Russia and Russian early
recordings. The study of the history of Gramophone
Company and its production as the basic
source, allows to follow the formation of the
world audioindustry and the audiomarket and
the formation on their basis of a primary information
field.
