1945-1953 CONSUMER COOPERATION CRIMES AND LAW ENFORCEMENT (BASED ON MATERIALS OF THE LOWER VOLGA REGION)
Abstract
A significant number of embezzlements and
thefts in the postwar period were committed within the system
of consumer cooperation. Losses from cooperative traders
criminal activity amounted to millions of rubles. The damage
incurred far exceeded the refund received. The article examines
the state of crime, as well as methods of law enforcement
bodies fighting embezzlement and theft in the system of
consumer cooperation.
