Abstract
The article studies the course of putting
into practice the law on compulsory primary education
in the Volga region. Some specific features of the Region
development in 1930s -1940s have been considered
and their impact on general compulsory education,
including national schools.
The development and funding of national schools
in the Middle Volga region during the post-war decade
has been considered at the angle of state educational
policy.
