Статья посвящена уникальному памятнику древнерусской архитектуры - Успенскому собору города Дмитрова. Целью статьи является соотнесение теории возможного существования на территории Дмитровского Кремля домонгольского белокаменного собора с материалами современных исследований по данному вопросу. Процедура и методы исследования: исторический и историографический, автор поднимает серьёзные вопросы, связанные с историей и архитектурным развитием Успенского кафедрального собора Дмитровского Кремля. В работе использовались, с одной стороны, традиционные методы исторического исследования, с другой, - методология теории цивилизаций, поскольку время возведения Дмитровского собора, XV-XVI вв., тесно связано с цивилизационным осмыслением политической идеологемы «Москва - Третий Рим». Поэтому цивилизационный подход в осмыслении исторических и общественно-политических процессов стал основой применяемой в исследовании методологии. Результаты проведённого исследования позволяют говорить о том, что проблематика строительства в Дмитровском кремле белокаменного храма связана с тем, что археологические исследования косвенно подтверждают возможность существования на территории Кремля более древнего белокаменного храма. Помимо этого, в статье рассматривается ряд важных проблем, связанных с историей его строительства. Речь идёт об итальянских влияниях в его архитектуре и о вопросах датировок его строительства. Теоретическая / практическая значимость в выводе о предположительном времени возведения домонгольского белокаменного храма не ранее 1212 г., в правление Великого князя Владимирского, Киевского и Всея Руси Всеволода III.
Aim. To identify a correlation between the theory of possible existence of a pre-Mongol white-stone cathedral on the territory of the Dmitrov Kremlin and the materials of contemporary research concerning this issue. Procedure and research methods: Drawing on historical and historiographic research methods, the article focuses on issues related to the history and architectural development of the Cathedral of the Assumption of the Dmitrov Kremlin. On the one hand, conventional methods of historical research were used. On the other hand, the theory of civilizations was applied, since the Dmitrov Cathedral was constructed in the 15-16th centuries, during emergence of the “Moscow - Third Rome” political ideology. Therefore, the civilization approach towards understanding of historical and socio-political processes became the basis of the research methodology. Results. The research results suggest that the problems of building a white-stone cathedral in the Dmitrov Kremlin could have been caused by the existence of an older white-stone cathedral on the same territory; archaeological analysis indirectly confirmed such a possibility. In addition, the article discusses a number of important issues associated with the history of the Cathedral, construction, such as the Italian influence on its architecture and the dating problem. Theoretical / Practical relevance. An assumption is made that the pre-Mongol white-stone church could have been built on this territory before 1212, during the reign of Vsevolod III, Grand Duke of Vladimir, Kiev and All Russia.
