В статье раскрывается значительный источниковый потенциал мемуаристики эмигрантов «первой волны» для изучения истории русской усадьбы. Выявлена неоднородность обнаруженных текстов, показано их разнообразие. Ввиду этого источники разделены на три группы согласно степени концентрации в них информации, начиная с тех, которые целиком посвящены усадьбам, и заканчивая теми, где встречаются лишь краткие отрывочные сведения. Привлекаются как опубликованные документы, так и архивные материалы. Рассматриваются причины актуальности усадебной тематики среди эмигрантов, а также раскрываются цели, которые преследовали мемуаристы, включая в свои произведения тексты об усадьбах.
The author discloses the importance of the first wave emigrants memoirs for the study of Russian estates history. The article presents the heterogeneity of the texts discovered by the author and reveals their diversity. Due to this fact the author divides the memoirs into three groups according to the degree of their information importance. The author considers those, entirely devoted to the estates, to be the most important, and those, containing only short fragmentary information, to be the least important. The published documents as well as the archive materialsare used. The author considers the reasons of the estate theme popularityamong the Russian emigrants and discloses the reasons why memoirists included the texts about estates in their works.
