Настоящая статья посвящена вопросам внешней политики нацистской Германии в регионе Юго-Западного Средиземноморья. В рамках исследования рассматривается Италия, хотя она частично входит в регион Юго-Западного Средиземноморья. Доказывается, что Германия преследовала в этом, кроме Италии, регионе чисто экономические интересы. Португалия имела для экономики нацистской Германии первостепенное значение как поставщик очень важного стратегического сырья. Статья основана частично на ранее не опубликованных архивных материалах.
The article is devoted to the issues of foreign policy of Nazi Germany in the South-Western Mediterranean region. Italy is also examined, though it was partially included into the South-Western Mediterranean region. It is proved that Germany pursued purely economic interests in the region, except Italy. Portugal had paramount importance for Nazi Germany economy, as it was a supplier of very important strategic raw materials. The article is partially based on previously unpublished archival materials.
