Статья посвящена участию индийских войск в важнейших операциях союзных армий против итало-германских войск на территории Туниса в годы Второй мировой войны. Британская Индия была активным участником этой войны и её войска сражалась на многих театрах военных действий, в том числе и в Северной Африке. В статье проводится анализ действий индийских частей и подразделений в составе британской армии, их взаимодействия с войсками других государств, принимавших участие в боях за Тунис. Выделены особенности применения индийских войск. Сделан вывод о роли индийских военнослужащих в победе над фашизмом в Тунисе.

The article is devoted to the participation of Indian troops in major operations of the allied armies against Italian-German forces on the territory of Tunisia during World War II. British India actively participated in the war, its troops acting on many theatres of operations including North Africa. The article contains the analysis of the Indian units actions as a part of the British Army, their cooperation with the troops of other countries participated in the battle for Tunisia. Special attention is paid to the specifics of Indian units’ combat employment. The conclusion is made of the Indian soldiers’ role in the victory over the fascism in Tunisia.
