Margaret Thatcher’s Cabinet was able to adapt its economic program to the specific conditions of the region, having taken extraordinary steps. The characteristic feature of the economic policy of Great Britain in Northern Ireland was the process of devolution that was absolutely against the essence of the direct rule regime.
