Цель. Выявить и сопоставить оценки, данные по состоянию и реформированию судебной системы Российской империи начала ХХ в. в современной российской историографии (2013–2023 гг.)

Процедура и методы

Процедура и методы. Изучение содержания историографических источников, представленных научными монографиями, статьями, рецензиями, обзорами, материалами конференций и «круглых столов» произведено в полном соответствии с принципами исторической объективности. Применяемый комплексный анализ предполагает характеристику судебной системы в Российской империи начала ХХ в. (представленную в исследованиях современных историков) в качестве уникального государственного феномена, а также рассмотрение её эволюции, обусловленной особенностями политической и социально-экономической жизни.

Результаты

Результаты. Сопоставлены позиции отечественных исследователей по основным проблемам эволюции судебной системы в Российской империи начала ХХ в. Выявлено, что основные из этих позиций и связанных с ними проблем носят дискуссионный характер и по-прежнему не утратили своей актуальности.

Теоретическая и/или практическая значимость. Проанализированы основные позиции ведущих отечественных исследователей, которые могут быть использованы при проведении исследований по историографии социально-политической жизни Российской империи начала ХХ в. в целом.

Aim

Aim. To identify and compare the estimates given on the state and renewal of the judicial system of the Russian Empire at the beginning of the 20th century in modern Russian historiography (2013–2023)

Methodology

Methodology. The study of historiographical sources presented in scientific monographs, articles, reviews, materials of conferences and “round tables” is carried out in full accordance with the principles of historical objectivity. The comprehensive analysis characterizes the judicial system in the Russian Empire of the early 20th century (presented in the studies of modern historians) as a unique state phenomenon, as well as the review of its evolution determined by the peculiarities of political and social-economic life.

Results

Results. The article compares the positions of domestic researchers on the main problems of the evolution of the judicial system in the Russian Empire in the early twentieth century. It is revealed that the main of these positions and related problems are debatable and still have not lost their relevance.

Research implications

Research implications. The main standpoints of the leading Russian researchers that can be used in studying historiography of the social-political life of the Russian Empire at the beginning of the 20th century are comprehensively analyzed.
