Цель. Статья является продолжением публикации полной хронологии открытия и освоения Испанской Флориды в XVI в.1 . В данном исследовании рассматриваются экспедиции с 1520 по 1525 гг.

Процедура и методы

Процедура и методы. В статье используются архивные документы, карты и материалы научных исследований, доступные на 2022 г. Методологической основой исследования являются принципы историзма, объективности и системности.

Результаты

Результаты. Результатом данной работы стала построенная в хронологическом порядке история попыток освоения «Испанской Флориды», базирующаяся на причинно-следственных связях процессов, происходивших в Новом Свете и Старом Свете между 1520 и 1525 гг.

Теоретическая и/или практическая значимость. В российской исторической науке и на постсоветском пространстве впервые так подробно представлена хронология событий по открытию, освоению и христианизации Флориды в XVI в. через причинно-следственных связи событий, происходивших в разных частях мира. Данная работа будет полезна при составлении спецкурса по открытию и освоению Флориды.

Aim

Aim. To continue the publication on the complete chronology of the discovery and exploration of Spanish Florida in the 16th century. This research focuses on expeditions from 1520 to 1525.

Methodology

Methodology. The article utilizes archival documents, maps, and materials from scientific research available as of 2022. The research is based on the principles of historicism, objectivity, and systematic analysis.

Results

Results. The outcome of this study is the constructed chronological history of the attempts to colonize “Spanish Florida”, based on cause-and-effect relationships between the processes occurring in the New World and the Old World between 1520 and 1525.

Research implications

Research implications. The chronology of events on the discovery, development and Christianization of Florida in the XVI century is presented in such detail through causal relationships of events that took place in different parts of the world, for the first time in Russian historical science and in the post-Soviet space. This work will be of use in compiling a special course on the discovery and development of Florida.
