Цель. Продолжить хронологию открытия и освоения Испанской Флориды в XVI в. Рассмотрены экспедиции с 1516 по 1520 гг.Процедура и методы. В работе использованы оцифрованные архивные документы Архива Индий (AGI), научные публикации по археологии, биоархеологии, антропологии американских учёных из университетов Флориды, таких, как В. Марквардт, Дж. Миланич, Д. Ворс, и др. научные материалы из ежеквартального журнала «The Florida Historical Quarterly». Также использовались карты и экспонаты, сфотографированные автором в музеях Флориды. Методологической основой исследования являются принципы историзма, объективности и системности.Результаты. Подробно рассмотрены экспедиции 1516–1520 гг. освоения Флориды, открытой в 1513 г., и события, происходящие в Вест Индии и Старом Свете.Теоретическая и/или практическая значимость. Впервые в российской исторической науке последовательно выстраивается хронология открытия и освоения Флориды, открытой испанцами в 1513 г. Данная работа будет полезна при составлении спецкурса по открытию и освоению большой территории североамериканского континента, называемого «Испанской Флоридой».

Aim. To continue the complete chronology of the discovery and development of Spanish Florida in the 16th century. This article review and discusses the expeditions from 1516 to 1520.Methodology. The article uses digital copies of the documents from the Archive of the Indies (AGI), scientific publications on archaeology, bioarchaeology and anthropology of such American scientists from Florida universities as W. Marquardt , J. Milanich, J. Worth, as well as the scientific materials from the quarterly journal "The Florida Historical Quarterly”. Maps and exhibits photographed by the author in Florida museums were also used. The methodological basis of the research is the principles of historicism, objectivity, and consistency.Results. The expeditions (1516–1520) of the development of Florida, discovered in 1513, and the events taking place in the West Indies and the Old World are examined in detail.Research implications. For the first time in Russian historical science, the chronology of the discovery and development of Florida, discovered by the Spaniards in 1513, is consistently built. The work is of practical importance for compiling a special course on the discovery and development of a large territory of the North American continent called "Spanish Florida".
