В статье исследуется про- блема положения чешских и словацких военнопленных периода Первой мировой войны, размещенных в разных лагерях во- енных округов России. На основе матери- алов российских архивов освещается по- литика российских властей по отношению к военнопленным. В круг этой политики входили следующие вопросы: регулирова- ние законодательными актами и правилами труда военнопленных на российских пред- приятиях и сельскохозяйственных работах, отношения между местным населением и военнопленными, забота об их здоровье, воз- можность принятия русского гражданства военнопленными, взаимодействие офици- альных властей и общества Красного Креста по оказанию им помощи. В статье показано, что в трудах историков в недостаточной мере были использованы материалы российских архивов, поэтому одна из задач данной ста- тьи заключается в расширении источнико- вой базы.
In the article the problem of the Czech and Slovak prisoners of war during World War the First, stationed in various military districts of Russia, is investigated. Based on the materials of Russian archives the policy of Russian authorities towards the prisoners of war is covered. The aspects of this policy included the following issues: regulations by laws and regulations by the labor of the prisoners of the war on Russian enterprises and agricultural work, the relationship between the local population and the prisoners of the war, the concern about their health, the possibility of the Russian prisoners of the war to gain Russian citizenship, the cooperation between official authorities and the Red Cross in order to provide assistance. The article shows that in the works of our historians the materials of Russian archives are not adequately used, so one of the objectives of this article is to increase the source base.
