В статье описываются мет- рические характеристики, а также иссле- дуются технологии и приемы изготовления одного из видов фурнитуры, используемой в средневековых саблях - обоймиц клинка, найденных в районе Золотаревского поселе- ния. При этом часть исследуемых материа- лов впервые вводятся в научный оборот. Все исследованные экземпляры изготовлены из одного листа железа. Ряд обоймиц изготов- лены не симметрично, и можно выделить лицевую и тыльную стороны. Лицевая часть зачастую орнаментирована, а на тыльной части всех предметов располагается шов от соединения краев листа, из которого изго- тавливалась обоймица. В целом, можно гово- рить о наличии на памятнике разнообразных по качеству и степени отделки обоймиц, как смонтированных на сабли, так и отдельно от них. При этом, более качественно изготовле- ны орнаментированные обоймицы.
The author of the article gives a metrical description of one of accessories of medieval sabers from the area of the Zolotaryovskoe Settlement - a blades collar. The author also analyses the technologies and methods that were used to make such collars. It is the first time some of the terms are introduced for scientific use. All the examined issues are made of a single iron plate. Some of the collars are asymmetrical, and a front and back sides of the collar can be distinguished. The front side has often an ornament on it, and on the back side of all issues is a seam of the two sides of the iron plate having been combined to make the collar. Generally, there are several types of collars, that can be differed from the point of quality and extent of decoration and whether they were assembled directly on the saber or not. The quality of the ornamented collars is better.
