В статье анализируется экономи- ческий аспект одного из конфликтов в Центральной Африке - борьба за природные ресурсы. Исследуя период с колониальных времен до сегодняшних дней, автор устанавливает взаимосвязь между де- ятельностью крупных западных компаний на Аф- риканском континенте и конфликтами, выявляет закономерности между присутствием иностранных военных группировок на территории ДРК с расхище- нием природных ресурсов ДРК, а также раскрывает суть возникающих очагов дестабилизации в районах ДРК, наиболее богатых таким ценным сырьем, как золото, алмазы, колтан, медь, касситерит и другие. В результате исследования делается вывод о том, что «теневая» экономика ДРК тесно связана с над- национальными мировыми корпорациями, для кото- рых нестабильная ситуация является условием их успешной деятельности. Таким образом, конфликты в Центральной Африке имеют прямое отношение к эксплуатации природных ресурсов.
The article analyses an economic aspect of conflicts in Central Africa - the fight for natural resources. Focusing on a long period of history, starting from the colonial years till today, the author defines the dependence between the activities of large western companies on the African continent and the conflicts, depicts the relationships between the presence of foreign military forces in the DRC with the plundering of natural resources of the DRC, and discloses the reasons of the rising conflicts in the areas of the DRC, which are mostly rich in such raw materials as gold, diamonds, coltan, copper, tin ore and others. As a result, the research concludes that the shadow economy of the DRC is intrinsically connected with the multinational corporations, for which an unstable climate is a must-have condition of activity. Therefore, conflicts in Central Africa are directly connected with the use of natural resources.
